Removal and Dismantling
We isolate the circuit, support the fixture's weight, disconnect it and lower it. Crystals and shades come off first, then arms and tiers, each photographed in place.
Packing
Crystals are bagged by tier and labelled. Arms and the frame go into a box with internal support so nothing moves or rubs in transit.
Custom Wooden Crating
Large, antique and multi-tier chandeliers get a wooden crate built to size, with the frame suspended or blocked inside and foam filling the gaps.
Transport Across the UAE
Packed chandeliers travel upright in a closed vehicle and are never stacked under other goods. In summer we load fragile pieces early to avoid peak heat.
Reinstallation
We hang the frame on a secure anchor, reconnect the wiring and rebuild tier by tier from our photos, then level it and test every lamp.

Chandelier Crating and Packing for Long-Distance Moves
For moves between emirates, storage or shipping abroad, a cardboard box is not enough. We build a wooden crate sized to your chandelier, suspend or block the frame inside so nothing presses on the crystals, and fill every gap with foam.
Crates are marked with orientation and fragile labels and can go straight into storage or onto a freight shipment. For international shipping, tell us the destination so we can confirm whether heat-treated (ISPM-15) wood is required.

Before Moving Day: What to Arrange
A few things on the building side make the move faster and avoid a second visit. We confirm all of them with you when we book.
- Building approval. Many Dubai towers and gated communities need management approval or a work permit for fixture removal and drilling.
- Service lift. Book it at both addresses for the agreed time slot.
- Ceiling at the new home. Tell us if it is gypsum. A heavy chandelier needs a fixing into the concrete slab, not the board.
- Power. Make sure we can reach the distribution board to isolate the lighting circuit.
- Insurance. Home contents policies often have a per-item limit below the value of a statement chandelier. Check yours before the move.
How to Pack a Chandelier for Moving Yourself
For a small, simple fixture under about 1 metre, you can do it yourself. For crystal, antique or multi-tier chandeliers, or anything you cannot lift safely from a ladder, book a technician.
Switch off the circuit at the breaker, not just the wall switch.
Photograph the chandelier from every side, and each arm close up.
Remove bulbs, shades and crystals, starting from the bottom tier.
Bag crystals by tier in labelled zip bags, wrapped in tissue.
Support the fixture while a second person disconnects the wires, then lower it.
Wrap arms in foam and the frame in bubble wrap, then box it upright with padding on all sides.
Mark the box FRAGILE and THIS WAY UP, and never stack anything on it.

How much does it cost to move a chandelier in Dubai?

Can a normal moving company move my chandelier?
They can carry it, but most do not disconnect, dismantle or rehang it, and that is where damage happens. Bent arms, snapped crystal pins and pulled wiring are the usual results of moving a chandelier whole.
Do I need an electrician to remove a chandelier?
Yes, a hard-wired chandelier must be disconnected from the lighting circuit by a qualified technician. Our team isolates the circuit, disconnects and caps the wires, and reconnects them at the new address.
How long does a chandelier move take?
Most moves within one emirate are finished in a day: 1 to 2 hours to remove, 1 to 3 hours to pack and 2 to 4 hours to reinstall. Large, antique or atrium chandeliers can take two days.

My new apartment has a gypsum ceiling. Can it hold my chandelier?
The gypsum board alone cannot hold a heavy chandelier. We fix into the concrete slab above the false ceiling or fit a support bracket, and confirm the anchor before hanging.
What if my chandelier was damaged in a previous move?
Photograph the damage, keep every broken piece and contact us. Our repair team replaces crystals, straightens arms and rewires sockets.
